I have chosen this country because Australia is the 6th largest world and i would love to see all the living species.I would love to visit Australia because all of my family lives there and i'd like to visit them.
Hi Judah! I am so happy to see that you've posted a blog for the Summer Learning Journey programme. That is amazing!
I also have family who live in Australia (in Brisbane) and would love to go and visit them. I had the chance to see them a few years ago but haven't been back since. Where does your family live? Are they also in Brisbane?
G'Day Judah, My name is Tania and I am a Manaiakalani Outreach Facilitator - I work in lots of different schools with teachers and learners who, like you, are using chromebooks for their learning and blogs to share their learning. I have been emailing with Rachel and she has told me all about The Summer Learning Journey, great that you have made a start. Australia is a great country to visit from New Zealand, it's not too far away, they still speak English and the weather will be perfect. Whereabouts in Australia do your family live? I have family that live on the Gold Coast and I like to go and visit them there, I love the beaches and the parks on the Gold Coast. My children like the Theme Parks there too! What living species are you hoping to see? Maybe you would like to go to Australia Zoo. Keep up the great researching, reading, writing, creating and sharing. Enjoy your summer holiday. Nga mihi nui Tania
I'm Mark, a teacher working for the Summer Learning Journey programme with Rachel! It is fantastic to see you choosing Australia as I once lived there! I am really looking forward to seeing what you learn about it!
I really enjoyed getting to learn about all the different species there. Just at my house there was a carpet python, a brown snake, an owl, fruit bats, smaller bats, golden orb spiders (which are huge and scary!!) and a few other spiders which also looked scary. One morning my Auntie left the door open and I woke up with a lizard the size of my forearm on the pillow next to me!! It was crazy!
I hope you are having a lovely holiday and look forward to reading more from you soon!
Hello Judah I am a student from Panmure Bridge school and it is great to see you doing the summer learning journey. Australia is a awesome country even though sometimes it's really hot. Nice job! Daniel
Great choice! I've been to Australia for a holiday, and stores with air conditioning were often visited. I hope you continue to stay a part of the SMJ!
Hi Judah, I have a lot of family and friends that live over there too. Have you been there before? What was your favourite part about it? I've yet to visit the theme parks in the Gold Coast and I'd like to visit some friends in Melbourne this year. I've never been there before. Enjoy the rest of your holidays.
I was cool when you had explained how you wanted to go and see your family in australia but you need to know that you always need to put the I as a capital
