The three kete

This week our literacy class learnt what the three ketes are. I learnt that the three ketes names are Mind, Body and soul. Did you know that the three kete were brought from the heavens by tanemahuta.

Muscle Fatigue

This week our group the spiders have been learning about muscle fatigue. We had to read the story complete the presentation and create a poster. I have learnt that when you pull your arm the triceps stretching and biceps relaxs.    

Kiwi kids news read off

WALT - Locate and summarise ideas within a range of texts.
This week our follow up activity is kiwi kids news read off. We had to read the article and write about it in our own words. My favourite one was the Harmony of the seas (the biggest ship in the world) that was my favourite one because i would love to go and it has lots of cool things.

Wool & Nail Art

Today we learnt how to make stuff out off nail and wool. The term the 7s and 8s are focusing about art. In our space we have been rotating to each teacher with an activity to do about art. Today I leaned how to make Nail and Wool art. Hope you enjoy my art of what my partner and I did.

Trade Fair.

WALT:add one main idea per paragraph

This term our topic was Trade and Enterprise. Our learning was to focus on creating and selling products in our business groups. We were split up into 6 business groups and some of them made food, stationery products and accessories.  

As part of our terms topic we had a trade fair. This is when you take orders and start designing our own ideas. We had to create a presentation with all of our ideas, so that people knew what we were selling.  

For the trade fair my friend Junior and I have created a business called custom labels. The product that we have designed is made online. We are selling custom labels for only 1 PT.

Me and my friend Junior is really excited about our market day coming up in week 8! We are hoping to make lots of PTs and lots of Pieces. If you are around at Pt England school then, please come and buy something from us!

Last week I have been doing a reading follow up about the ski trip. There is a Boy named Anthony he is trying fun raise money to go on that really cool ski trip.    

Job Application

I have chosen to be a window Monitors because I always close the window at my house. In my house in the sitting room we have the windows open and in a few min later it’s already cold so I have to close and open the windows. In my classrooms there is lots of windows and if I see people getting hot or cold i can close or open it.

Problem solving

So I did 6 + 2 = 8 , 40 + 30 = 70 , 100 + 70 = 170, 8 + 170 = 178.
And the answer is 178.

My Work

(Judah) I like cleaning the classroom because I clean all the time at home. Cleaning is good for you. Cleaning keeps your house, school and the whole world clean. If you don't clean your house it will start to smell and it will get messy. At school our 3 classes  get 20p and 50p .To get 20p we have to sit up nicely and be quite. And to get 50p you have to clean up the classroom or do something that the teacher will be proud of.

This is my Animation for this term our class had to create a game so i have something to do on a rainy. I have learnt to move my charters around the level. I hope you enjoy it.

Sun Smart

Junior and Richard also Judah) The sun is so hot. This means you will need a hat to cover your face and sunscreen on your skin to stop you from getting burnt. These are the two really important things that you will need if it's summer.

If you want to be sunsmart then you will need a hat. Hats are really good because it will protect your face from the burning sun. Especially one with a wide brim. A hat is really important because you might get skin cancer and skin cancer mostly happens on your faces and your neck then any parts of your body.

Another way to stay safe is to put on some sunscreen. The sun is dangerous so you will have to watch out.Sunscreen is really good to put on your skin because it protects your skin from getting burnt. The best one to use is SPF30+ because it gives you less sunburn.It is best to use it when it is summer.

lastly put on some sunglasses. Put on sunglasses to protect your eyes. Sunglasses are really usefull for your eyes because you might get blind. UV radiations can affect your eyesight.You will have to watch out for your eyes.

And don’t forget to slip, slop slap and wrap!!

Explaining My learning.

We had to create a game and my game is called Spy land. We had to create a side scrolling so we have something to do on a rainy day. So we made up our own game character. My character is a free runner. We can move the character by pressing the arrows to shoot is the space bar.

Sometimes my game you can lose and you can win but my game is just for fun.You can create a game but not with game characters that already exist.

Problem solving

Today our group the counters had to do problem solving about fractions. the question was 1/4 of 40  and the answer is 10.
