Speech and reflection

Recently I did a speech if front of my class about why kids should get paid to go to school. My teacher Mr Wiseman recorded us while we were presenting our speech. The next task was for us to do a reflection about our speech and how we felt during it.

Complex sentences

Last weeks writing we have been working about complex sentences. In slide three we had to highlight the independent clause blue and the dependent clause red. This activity was hard but fun at the same time.

How to have a fun weekend

Are you sitting on your couch by yourself,  playing the game by yourself well, I am here to show you how to have fun in the weekend.

The first way by having a fun weekend is to bring a friend over for the night. Having your friends over is very cool. Because you can play the game, have water fights and more.

Having your friends can make your week awesome.

Another way by having a fun weekend is to eat junk food and watch movies. But don't forget to have a work out the next day. OR ELSE! Dun dun dunnnnnn.

And the last way in having a fun weekend is to spend time with your family. Spending time with your family will help you bond and get to know each other better.

I have learnt that if you bring a friend over it will always be fun and that is how you have a fun weekend.

How our muscles work.

Our bodies move by a thing called muscles. Muscles are big and small shapes of flesh that are inside our body. Muscles can be used to move your body, pick things up, smile and so much more.

The smooth muscle another word for it involuntary. If you throw up the smooth muscle pushes our food out of our stomach up our esophagus and out of our mouth. The smooth muscle is in the walls of our sides. If you eat something your food goes in our mouths down our esophagus and digest your food down in our smooth muscle  

The cardiac muscle also known as myocardium. It relax and pumps our blood threw our entire body. Skeletal muscles another word you might of heard voluntary muscles. Its moves when you decide to move them. It will never move if you make them move. They are attached to small rope line called tendons.

Our arm has a bicep and a tricep our bicep contracts which stretches our upper arm and our tricep relaxes. Our deltoids muscle helps us move our shoulder, Pectorals are found on your right and left side of you chest, quadriceps are on your thighs and our gluteus maximus are on our bottom its like a cushion on your but.

All together their work as a team. We all need theses muscles they are very important.

Once there was a boy named James. James grew up with his grandparents in america . When James was little he wanted to become a superhero. But now he posts letters to people. James decided He didn't want to post letters anymore. He was sick and tired of that job so he became a superhero. His dream came true. James came up with iron man. His superpower is irons nothing special like superpowers, teleportation and time travelling. He wanted to save the world by throwing hot irons and burning all the bad guys.

Three days later there was a bank robbery there were no superhero around to stop them so I went in. There were four guys, there my friends Jake, Sam, Henry and Kevin. I said what are you guys doing why are you doing this said James.

We are poor we have no money we live in the street. The only job we have is posting letters that why were dirty at work. James pulled out his burning hot irons and swung across the room. One second later the cops came and took them to jail for life.

Latter that day James got a phone call it was the head leader of the villains his name is Doglover. Out of all of the bad names in the world he pick Doglover. Doglover ask James to join the villains club. He said no i won't in a thousand years said James. Doglover got angry very angry that he killed one of his own guys.

When James heard the gunshot he had to go. So he quickly Ran over. James had a pit stop at subway he asked for a foot long with a drink he took his time. 30 min later he ran even faster, faster than the flash but one moment he got a stitch so he walked and walked. Finally I got there i saw the all of the villains i saw Magneto, Joker, doctor doom and more. When I went in his house doglover was right in front of me so i brought out my hot iron and slapped it across his face then pulled him out .And took him to jail and never came back home again

Cross Country

Has your school ever done cross country? Well Pt England school had cross country it is a race to support your house colour . I came 17th out of about 40 kids in the year 6 boys. When Mr Burt clapped these two wood’s together and made a loud noise then we started the race.

The house colour’s was mataatua its green I was very happy with cross country because I gave it my all.

Trade Fair.

WALT:add one main idea per paragraph

This term our topic was Trade and Enterprise. Our learning was to focus on creating and selling products in our business groups. We were split up into 6 business groups and some of them made food, stationery products and accessories.  

As part of our terms topic we had a trade fair. This is when you take orders and start designing our own ideas. We had to create a presentation with all of our ideas, so that people knew what we were selling.  

For the trade fair my friend Junior and I have created a business called custom labels. The product that we have designed is made online. We are selling custom labels for only 1 PT.

Me and my friend Junior is really excited about our market day coming up in week 8! We are hoping to make lots of PTs and lots of Pieces. If you are around at Pt England school then, please come and buy something from us!

Job Application

I have chosen to be a window Monitors because I always close the window at my house. In my house in the sitting room we have the windows open and in a few min later it’s already cold so I have to close and open the windows. In my classrooms there is lots of windows and if I see people getting hot or cold i can close or open it.

My Work

(Judah) I like cleaning the classroom because I clean all the time at home. Cleaning is good for you. Cleaning keeps your house, school and the whole world clean. If you don't clean your house it will start to smell and it will get messy. At school our 3 classes  get 20p and 50p .To get 20p we have to sit up nicely and be quite. And to get 50p you have to clean up the classroom or do something that the teacher will be proud of.

Sun Smart

Junior and Richard also Judah) The sun is so hot. This means you will need a hat to cover your face and sunscreen on your skin to stop you from getting burnt. These are the two really important things that you will need if it's summer.

If you want to be sunsmart then you will need a hat. Hats are really good because it will protect your face from the burning sun. Especially one with a wide brim. A hat is really important because you might get skin cancer and skin cancer mostly happens on your faces and your neck then any parts of your body.

Another way to stay safe is to put on some sunscreen. The sun is dangerous so you will have to watch out.Sunscreen is really good to put on your skin because it protects your skin from getting burnt. The best one to use is SPF30+ because it gives you less sunburn.It is best to use it when it is summer.

lastly put on some sunglasses. Put on sunglasses to protect your eyes. Sunglasses are really usefull for your eyes because you might get blind. UV radiations can affect your eyesight.You will have to watch out for your eyes.

And don’t forget to slip, slop slap and wrap!!

Johnny upgrade is a side scrolling game that you can play on cool math games. When you play can collect coins to upgrade your person. While you're running there will be spikes, lasers. When you've gotten your gun you could update it and get more ammo. If you buy heaps you could defeat the boss in a flying skull ship. In the game there is also a timer and lots of robots that can take 1 of your life there is also bombs that come flying around that small area.If you keep upgrading your person will be the best.  

Anzac Writing

We had a special assembly so we can remember the people who died in World war 1.Some of us wore some poppy’s to show respect for the people who battle on the field of poppy’s.They always march to their trench . .A trench is a deep walkway to keep them safe from the enemy’s.Dogs are faster because it will be hard for the sniper people to kill.

In World War 1 they came from ships to turkey to have the battle with the germans. Some of the teachers wore a poppies to show respect for the ones that died for us. Did you know that ANZAC stands for Australia ,New Zealand ,Army ,Corp. Did you know that poppies grow on a battlefield and also they use dogs to send notes to the other side of the field because if we run pass they can shoot us because were out on the open. In WW1 that means it is World War 1 they had trench it is a line that is petter deep. They also been using reins to carry the ones that are hurt.

Dog are faster than us it will be really hard for anyone you try and shoot dogs. Did you know in ww1 they woke up up at 5:30 am. At 6:00 the battle began to start. Did you know people didn’t know that it was about W.A.R. Most people will surrender because they do not want to die. The one that died for us was the one that died of honor.

If a another emery squad surrenders the other emery squad will send them back to the county in peace.

Holiday Highlight.

This is a story that I did in the holiday .

In the holidays me and my cousin Charm got to play call of duty ghost in the sitting room. I got 181 kills but Charm had 199 kills. He was lucky my control was turning on and off! Later that night we went to Valentines where I ate so much my t-shirt was going to tear!

One week later we went to the warehouse to buy something cause my Mum and Dad had to go ASB.  We walked all around Sylvia Park then we saw Mum. She called us over to say that we had to go home. When we got home I went on my Chrome Book and did some Math Whizz then went to bed.

A few day later our family went on a picnic at Pt England reserve.  We had lots of fun because we got to play touch, hot potato and had a BBQ. Later that day we all went home and then went to bed. The next day we drove to the airport had some breakfast then we waited and waited before we could say good bye to my family. :(

The Duffy story

On the second week of monday all the yr3-8 all walked to the hall to see what was happening. When we got there we were surprised by some duffy people that was waiting for us to show their duffy show. As we sat down  they told us some really

funny jokes to keep us company. When they were  going to start the duffy song. the whole class started singing with the duffy

After they finish telling us there jokes they sang a song it go like this  tinka tinka tinka tinka tinka la la la

to us  then we joined them what they were singing .After that they told us their names and they introduced themselves and told as their  names.There were 2 girl and there names were Sienna,Antonia and 1 boy and his name was Tj. Antonia played lot’s of character.                                    

They Started their performance about a girl not liking reading and she was studie. It was lots of fun and there was picture books,toys and dinosaurs.There was a boy called Duffy and he help her at read so she will get better. It was cool cause they was egpt mounts funny writing and they were hilarious.

At the end

It was all over we had to go back to class. But the next day we had right about it.
